Since our establishment as a vegetable intermediate wholesaler, we, TANEI CO.,LTD. has built trust relationships with our customers and all concerned parties with the company credos, “wholeheartedness & efforts” and “freshness is everything” as our mottoes.
We have made every effort to gather fresh vegetables from all over Japan and securely and safely deliver them to everyone at proper prices as quickly as possible.
We have created our history together with concerned parties, buyers and marketers in various fields and categories of business including a wide variety of retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, department stores, trading companies and school caterers.
We have ideas to attempt new things. Even in the traditional market, we have explored the path for development while maintaining traditions. We believe that whether we feel the wall in front of us large or small actually depends on a small difference in our will to overcome it.

About The Osaka Central Wholesale Market

” Osaka Central Wholesale Market serves the central role in the distribution of perishable foods by collecting perishable foods including farm produces, seafood, and meat/poultry, from the producing areas, deciding the fair prices, and ensuring the steady supply to the consumers and businesses. It is a wholesale market operated by the local public body under the Wholesale Market Law with the permission by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, to ensure the smooth distribution of perishable foods for important cities and their vicinities in regard to the distribution and consumption of perishable foods. There are 79 central wholesale markets (50 cities). In City of Osaka, total of three markets are operated, the Main and the Eastern markets to handle farm produces and seafood and Nanko market to handle meat/poultry, making effort to stabilize and improve daily diets of consumers and business entities. ”

Tanei Co., Ltd. was established (capital: 6 million yen). President: MORI

November,1976
Relocated due to the reorganization of the Market. Became the 121st store
in the Green Goods Section.
June,1995
The capital was increased from 6 million to 10 million yen.
January,1996
Absorbed Osaki Shoten and expanded the store space and the size of
business.
June,1997
The capital was increased from 10 million to 20 million yen.
November,2000
Relocated due to the reorganization of the Market. Became the 72nd store
in the Green Goods Section.
April,2004
HIKASA Kenji became the president.
November,2008
Absorbed Kita Shoten and expanded the store space and the size of
